• You couldn’t make this up .🤯 Fast fashion giant, SHEIN, has just announced a €200 million circularity fund, potentially to ‘clean up’ its image ahead of its IPO plans (link I and link II)

• German VC firm, First Momentum Ventures has launched a deep tech hardware napkin, reminiscent of Point Nine’s OG SaaS napkin (link)

• It’s been a busy week in politics, and the markets! 🥵

  1. According to prediction markets, Trump is now comfortably in the lead in the presidential election, following the CNN debate and assassination attempt (link)

  2. Consequently, Truth Social, gun stocks and other potential beneficiaries in case of a Trump win, did well (link).

  3. Chip stocks like ASML, NVIDIA, and TSMC on the other hand did not fare so well. Trump’s comments on Taiwan taking ‘about 100%’ of America’s semiconductor business, created a lot of uncertainty. The Biden administration is also considering clamping down on chip exports to China (link).
